Born in Moeskroen, Belgium, she was discovered in 1999 when she decided to enter a fashion contest (Miss Mannequin) with a friend of hers and began her modeling career in the early 2000s. She has walked in major fashion shows for designers such as Christian Dior, Christian Lacroix, Galliano, Karl Lagerfeld, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and appeared in the 2006 and 2007 Victoria's Secret fashion shows. She has also appeared in numerous high-profile advertising campaigns for Prada, Versace, Jil Sander, and Viktor & Rolf.
